After several years of gracing fashion runways around the world as a model, Yasuyo Sekido, a.k.a. TAKEMI transitioned smoothly from being just beautiful in front of the camera to capturing beauty behind the camera. Born in New York City, raised in Tokyo Japan, Takemi enjoys working with clients throughout the United States, Japan and beyond. A seasoned New York Fashion Week Photographer, Takemi consistently captures the eloquence of the beauty world featuring fashion designer collections and look books (3 DOTS), cosmetics (Shiseido), accessories and the faces of the most beautiful models from around the world. Her eyes seek only the beauty in all things, “I like being drawn into the beauty and becoming in-tuned with the moment.” Takemi is also just as comfortable in the corporate and commercial environment (s), having covered International Business Forums and National Telecommunication Conferences (Verizon) as well as the Celebrated Boutique Florist, the Fine Spirited Champagne (Veuve Cliquot) and the Fine Arts Gallery; Her still-life work is always portrayed as fine art. Her work is featured regularly in Maquia Magazine (Japan), and has been published often in other magazines such as Harper’s Bazaar (Japan), Elle Japon, Cosmopolitan (Japan), Figaro, Tatoo Girls, Breathe magazine (U.S.), New York Times Style Magazine and many others. Also, Takemi's work appeared in a New York Times commercial as well.
